Head to this resort for a grand Thanksgiving meal. The Emerald Grande offers a dining experience at the Grand Vista Bar & Grill that is second to none. If you want to stretch your legs on Turkey Day, head to this gem in Destin.

Dining in for Thanksgiving Dinner 

If going out to eat for Thanksgiving isn’t your thing, then pick up everything you need at a local grocery store, like Publix, and fix a delightful dinner at your vacation rental. Our condos have well-equipped kitchens with everything you need to create a meal. While your vacation rental might not have a turkey roaster, you can use the kitchen equipment that is on hand and purchase disposable aluminum pans or other alternatives to get the job done.  

You can also establish a new family tradition by opting for a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal. Use the community barbeque grills to flame broil hamburgers, create a deluxe charcuterie board, or plan a gourmet picnic on the beach.

Activities to Enjoy During Your Thanksgiving Getaway 

Emerald Coast Classic – College Basketball Tournament 

If you are in town for the week of Thanksgiving, you may be interested in the Emerald Coast Classic. This college basketball tournament features both men’s and women's events on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida. 

Black Friday Shopping 

Head to Okaloosa Island Boardwalk for a unique and fun shopping experience on the biggest retail shopping day of the year! For boutiques and trendy shops, head to Downtown Fort Walton Beach. If you are in town on the 2nd or 4th Saturday, you can attend the Saturday Market. Be sure to visit the annual Holiday Market, typically held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This is a great opportunity to go holiday shopping or pick up a few souvenirs for your family. 

Turkey Trots
